OK, well not quite. Actually about three blocks down from my house.

I'm just sitting around at work, trying to stay awake as usual while 4 and 5 in the a.m. and other fun hours go drifting past the clock. And by about 6:00 or so I have one of the TV's on CNN Headline News and the other on local news (Standard, I usually leave one TV on CNN all night and watch whatever I want on the other, switching it to local news about 6 or so to see what kind of weather I'll be stepping out into that morning.) So I keep catching all this stuff about Hoffa on the CNN one. Something about looking for his body under a swimming pool. And then it's "MI police search..." MI? Like Michigan? I never really knew that much about the disappearance. So it was supposed to be in Michigan. Imagine that...
OK, then the local news comes on and they're showing this story with a map of Bay County. Well now what the hell...? *I* live in Bay County! (Or I did until recently anyway. Living in Mt. Pleasant doesn't count because it's a dumb town :P) Not just Bay County, but Hampton Township is highlighted. Holy shitballs, now you're hitting close as I lived in Hampton Township as well. Not even the city, technically I lived in the township. And when the graduating class from both areas combined is about 150 you can imagine it's not a very big area. Yup. Police were digging under some swimming pool about three blocks away from my dad's house.

Now I must talk to Kim. We always swore there was this kid in our class whose dad was in the Mafia.... ;P

Nope. Apparently the guy who gave the tip (a guy serving time for another murder) has been telling a LOT of stories lately, some true, some not. He recently gave a tip about the same house where he said his friend had killed a guy thirty years ago and stashed the body in the crawl space. So the house has changed owners a few times and police show up at their door one day "Hey, can we check your crawl space?" Sure enough, there's the 30-year old remains of a dead body. How's THAT for creepy?
