Telemarketers, eat my dust!

My dad just told me a great story I had to recount because of my battle with telemarketers lately. He said someone was calling saying that they'd reviewed my application for a discover card and wanted to send me one:
(after asking for me and finding out he's my dad)
TM: We wanted to tell your daughter that we have recieved her application for a Discover card and that she is pre-approved for a card membership.
Dad: She filled out an application and sent it in?
TM: Yes.
Dad: And you're looking at it right now?
TM: That's right.
Dad: And you say she's pre-approved.
TM: Yes sir.
Dad: Well that's funny because not only am I pretty positive she hasn't filled out a Discover card application since I've heard her tell all the OTHER annoying credit card companies that call here that she doesn't want another credit card, but also it's always been my knowledge of things that when you send in an application you're either approved or denied, not PRE-approved.
TM: umm...well...[continues to attempt to stutter out a response}
Dad: That's what I thought. Good-bye.
