When Janet Jackson came out with the song "Escapade" I think I spent several months wondering why the hell she was singing a song about the "Ice Capades"??
I really should update (as I keep saying) And I like that the first thing I thought of now was, "because I bet I've gone through like three major hair changes since the last time I gave a good update!!" :)
When the Ace of Base (Bass?) song "All That She Wants" came out, my mom couldn't figure out why the woman they were singing about wanted another baby (as in child) so badly.
I had to explain that it was: "All that she wants is another [comma] baby" That "baby" was just filler.
that IS a tough one, considering how they sing it.
When TLC (that's who it was, right?) came out with "Waterfalls" my friend thought the words were "Cold, cold Jason Waterfalls" and they were singing about this character named 'Jason Waterfalls' :D
There's no comma. It's another baby as in another honey. Another warm body. She wants a one night stand and that's it, because she leads a frivolous life without real commitments.
You should totally add that to your Site of the Week crawl list.
My best one is from the song "My Own Worst Enemy" by Lit. I thought it went, "Can we forget about the things I said when I was drunk/ I didn't mean to call you fat." It's "call you that".

I've been all over that site a few times and you're right, that would be a GREAT one to include!
And I think he lies, he TOTALLY meant to call her fat.
